Lincolnton, NC – Lincoln County Sheriff’s detectives have charged a Lincoln County man with child sexual assault.
On January 24, 2019 the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a report from Lincoln County Department of Social Services of statutory rape and indecent liberties with two children that were between the ages of seven and eleven years old when the incidents occurred.
During the investigation Detective Dan Renn discovered the suspect had vaginal intercourse with one of victims and inappropriately touched both children who were known to the suspect. Jesus Diaz Guzman, 30, of Woodland Hill Trail, Lincolnton, NC confessed to inappropriately touching the children during an interview on April 4, 2019.
He is charged with one felony count of statutory rape of a child by an adult and two felony counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. He was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond. He will have a first appearance in Lincoln County District Court today. (April 5, 2019)
