Iredell man charged with kidnapping, forced sex offense

PRESS RELEASE

Sherriff Darren Campbell stated: A female came into the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit to report a domestic assault.

The female stated the incident occurred on Sunday February 2, 2019 at 3098 Hickory Highway. Detective Nathan Rash was assigned to investigate the matter. Basses upon all the evidence gathered during the investigation, Detective Rash was able to secure warrants on Jonathan Brenton Lynch.

On Wednesday, February 6, 2019 Jonathan Brenton Lynch was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was served with arrest warrants for: Felony Second Degree Kidnapping, Felony Second Degree Forced Sex Offense, and Misdemeanor Assault on a Female.

Lynch was taken before District Court Judge C. Underwood who issued him a 200,000.00 dollars secured bond on these charges.
