Domestic dispute call ends with drug charges

PRESS RELEASE

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Friday, May 24, 2019 Deputies H. Pennell, C. Little, and D. Caskaddon responded to 137 Gladiola Drive in reference to domestic dispute.

When the deputies arrived, they found a female walking down the road with minor injuries. The victim stated she, and Curtis Bishop Bryant had been in an argument at her home.

When Deputies attempted to make contact with Bryant, he fled out of the back door of his home to his mother’s house. While searching around the home for Bryant, the deputies noticed two pill bottles laying on a mattress in the back yard near where Bryant was last seen. Inside the pill containers were 10.3 grams of cocaine, two dosage units of Ecstasy and a small amount of marijuana.

Bryant was located nearby and he was taken into custody. While investigating the incident, the deputies came upon information which led them to believe there were more drugs located in a vehicle which was located on property belonging to Bryant.

A search warrant was obtained and executed for the vehicle. 150 grams of marijuana was located in the car located on the property.

Bryant was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with; Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance,
Felony Possession of Cocaine, Felony Possession of Ecstasy, Felony Maintain a Dwelling for Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and
Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia.

Magistrate J. Hollar and issued a 30,000.00 dollar secured bond on these crimes.
