Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Monday, October 14, 2019 members of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit along with members of the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team executed a narcotics search warrant at 248 North Patterson Street in Statesville.
Sheriff Campbell also said, Narcotics Investigators received information about Shandrick Rankins possibly distributing “Crack Cocaine” in the community, which started this investigation.
During the investigation, investigators were able to purchase “Crack Cocaine” on more than one occasion from directly from Rankins while at 248 North Patterson Street.
Upon execution of the search warrant, investigators located 0.3 grams of Crack Cocaine, and 79 dosage units of Alprazolam which is also known as Xanax hidden inside the residence. They also arrested Shandrick Rankins for: Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine), Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Alprazolam), and Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for the Use or Sale of Controlled Substance.
Rankins was transported to the Iredell County Jail where he was issued a 25,000.00 dollars secured bond on these charges by Magistrate S. Watkins.
