Charlotte man charged in Mooresville bank robbery investigation

MOORESVILLE, NC – On May 6 at approximately 2:20 p.m., a robbery was reported at First Citizens Bank, 241 Medical Park Road. When police arrived, employees of the bank stated a male entered the business and passed a note to a bank representative demanding cash. A weapon was not displayed. Descriptions of the suspect and a vehicle were provided by witnesses.

On November 22, the Mooresville Police Department identified Tyrus McGee, 20, of Charlotte as the suspect in the robbery. McGee was already incarcerated in the Mecklenburg County Jail on unrelated charges when he was charged with this incident. He received an additional $10,000 secured bond for this additional charge.
