Arrest made in Statesville homicide investigation

Statesville NC: On Thursday, January 16, 2020, Statesville Police Officers responded to the 1500 block of 8th Street in reference to a suspicious death. Investigators identified the deceased as 25-year-old Shana Nicole Harmon of Statesville. After further investigation, Harmon’s death was ruled a homicide. During the past seven days, Statesville Police Investigators received numerous tips from the citizens of Statesville. Investigators also conducted interviews throughout the night and the days following the homicide.

On Thursday, January 23, 2020, at approximately 5:00 pm, Statesville Police Department Investigators obtained a warrant for the murder of Shana Nicole Harmon on Qawiesha Khaleelah Tolliver aka. “QB” of Statesville. Tolliver was taken into custody without incident at her residence. Tolliver was taken before Magistrate Watkins and is currently in custody at the Iredell County Jail under no bond.
