AMBER Alert canceled for missing Charlotte 3-year-old

CHARLOTTE (WSIC) – An AMBER Alert has been canceled for a Charlotte 3-year-old who police say was taken by her father after he shot and killed a woman Monday afternoon.

Dior Muhammad was located safe and unharmed with a relative on Trade Street.  Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police accuse her father, Edward Garner Sr., of shooting and killing Aiesha Summers Monday. Garner is described as a 35-year-old, 6’1″ black male with a goatee, short hair, and brown eyes. Investigators believe Garner may be traveling in a white 2000 S430 Mercedes wit ha sunroof and North Carolina plate HCV-1629. Edward Garner Jr. is safe and unharmed. According to investigators, he voluntarily came to police headquarters after seeing his picture in media coverage.
