Additional charges announced for man charged in Iredell homicide

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: After being arrested on Monday, November 18, 2019, for Homicide, Pierson Worth Colbert was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he received No Bond on this charge.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019 Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Detectives served Colbert with additional warrants for, Felony Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Misdemeanor Attempted Breaking, and Entering to a Residence, Misdemeanor Larceny, and Misdemeanor Assault on a Governmental Official. These charges come from the continued investigation into the related incidents of Monday.

Pierson Colbert appeared before Magistrate M. Nethken for these new warrants. Magistrate Nethken issued, No Bond on these additional charges. Colbert was then served with one outstanding Misdemeanor Warrant for Failure to Appear in Court. He received a 10,000.00 dollars secured bond for this warrant. Colbert was also served with outstanding Probation Violations. Colbert was issued a 200,000.00 dollars secured bond for these violations.
