Armed home invasion places 2 Huntersville schools on lockdown


HUNTERSVILLE, NC (WSIC) – Two Huntersville schools were placed on lockdown Thursday due to an armed home invasion in the Stephens Grove neighborhood.

Investigators say a six-foot tall, slender individual wearing a black ski mask entered a home in the 6000 block of Glengarrie Lane around 10:30 Thursday morning with a handgun and took money from the victim.  The victim suffered minor injuries due to a fall.

Barnette Elementary and Bradley Middle schools were placed on lockdown.  Anyone with information concerning the break-in is asked to call police at 704-464-5400.
