HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (WSIC NEWS) – The Lake Norman Kiwanis Club wants to feed 150 families for Thanksgiving.
That number is up from 100 last year. Jeff Hammett says they’re a little behind right now and still need support to make it happen.
“This is our fifteenth year that we’ve done the turkey dinner drive,” says Hammett. “We partner with the Huntersville Food Pantry, and this year we’re going from 100 families to feed to 150 families.”
Hammett says $25 dollars will feed a family. That includes turkey, ham, stuffing, and other sides.
“Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year, and just to be able to give back to help individuals to have a joyful time with friends and family and to have a good meal.”
