Lake Norman teen council now accepting applications

CORNELIUS – Want to meet new friends or have something fun to do that looks great on your college application? The Lake Norman Teen Council provides service projects, volunteer initiatives, workshops, fundraisers, and the opportunity to go on teen trips. Sample council activities include local festivals, attending youth forums, taking campus cruises, skating or bowling trips, conducting collections for local charities, dining out, and hosting holiday parties.

The LKN Teen Council meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from September 10 – May 26, 6:30-8:00 p.m., at Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Avenue, unless otherwise noted. All teens in grades 6 – 12 are welcome to join and applications for the new school year are being accepted now. These applications, or Participation Contracts, as well as other information including the Fall 2019 schedule, can be found at www.cornelius.org/LKNTeenCouncil. Contracts are due before attending a council function for the 2019-2020 school year.
