Charlotte-area home sales drop in June

Closed home sales fell by nearly 12 percent across the Charlotte region last month.

That’s according to data from the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association comparing with the same time last year. In Huntersville, closed sales fell more than 25 percent. Mecklenburg County as a whole was down 17 percent.

That wasn’t the case everywhere. Closed sales rose more than 20 percent in Davidson and more than 13 percent in Statesville where the median price is $195,000, an increase of 21 percent.

The median price in Cabarrus County is sitting at $225,000, up 10 percent.
