Church group hosting clean-up day to help north Charlotte flooding victims

The Baptist Men are facilitating a volunteer day on Saturday, June 22,from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m., to assist residents with cleaning up their homes. Individuals interested in volunteering should sign up on the volunteer registry and can report to Calvary Baptist Church located at 10301 Harwood Lane in Charlotte. Volunteers will be given an assignment upon check-in and are advised to wear long sleeves, pants and sturdy shoes. Volunteers are encouraged to bring hammers, shovels and prybars, if available. Water and food will be provided, however, volunteers can bring water, packaged snacks and cleaning supplies to assist in the recovery efforts.
