MOORESVILLE, NC (WSIC) – You probably don’t know many thirteen year-olds with their own Corvette, but then again Abby Bailey is no ordinary thirteen year-old and her car is no ordinary Corvette.
Abby is a survivor of a rare spinal cancer who was cured by Saint Jude Children’s research hospital. The car was a special gift from her Grandfather. Abby’s father Kevin who says his daughter is an inspiration. Abby’s positivity is contagious – she stayed positive during her five months of treatment by befriending other kids in the hospital.
Abby and her dad were in Mooresville Saturday for the 2018 Trump Charlotte Concours d’Elegance which is supporting Saint Jude Children’s research hospital. The show featured some of the world’s top cars including a mix of history and speed.
While Abby didn’t get to drive here today, she looks forward to being able to put her classic Corvette on the road someday.
