Two accused of vehicle break-ins at Mooresville residence

Sheriff Darren E. Campbell stated: On Friday, January 5, 2018 a call was received by Iredell County Emergency Communications in reference to suspicious males being in the area of Whippoorwill Road in Mooresville.

Deputies arrived very shortly after the call was received, due to being in the area based on suspicious activity and larceny reports from earlier in December. Deputies saw the men described by the caller near a residence located at 217 Whippoorwill Road. Deputies approached the men and they fled on foot.

A short foot chase resulted and the suspects were located near the home. The men were identified as Cody Dean Bogan and Armand Tyler Payne. After both men were brought back to the residence, it was discovered tools and electronic items worth over 1000.00 dollars had been taken out of a tool truck and another vehicle at the residence.

Cody Dean Bogan was identified as a suspect from a breaking, entering and larceny at the residence back in December.

Both men were transported to the Iredell County Detention Center and were charged with the following charges: Two Felony Counts of Breaking and Entering and two counts of Felony Larceny. Bogan was charged with an additional Felony Larceny for the incident in December.

Both men were placed under 10,000.00 Dollars Secured Bond.
