Statesville Mayor Costi Kutteh recently offered his year-end review to Council members, looking back at the happenings of 2016 for the City.
A written copy of those remarks shows the Mayor stayed positive, focusing mainly on the successes of the past year.
He opened with compliments for City staff and their efforts.
He moved to economic development noting the construction of restaurants, a new hotel and other businesses.
Kutteh also talked about efforts made towards positive relations in the community, noting that there would always be controversies such as the old Davis Hospital, Love’s Truck Stop, murals and the Elmwood Quarry.
He says he’s optimistic about the City’s future.
