Statesville looking for Airport Commission volunteers

The City of Statesville is looking for interested citizens to serve on the Airport Commission.  This is a nine-member commission, with seven members and one City Council member appointed by City Council and one Iredell County Commissioner appointed by the Iredell County Commission.

The Airport Commission recommends broad policies that affect the care and maintenance of the Statesville Regional Airport.  It meets at noon on the second Thursday of each month in City Hall.  Appointments are for three-year terms.

City Council will be filling several vacancies in June. Interested Statesville residents should complete a Volunteer Application form by May 18, 2017, in order to be considered.
