PRESS RELEASE

Street Division crews continue to work on icy patches today, and it appears that the afternoon snow has passed without any accumulation. Sand/salt trucks will be covering bridges and other trouble spots this afternoon, in anticipation of tonight’s low temps.

A wintry mix is forecast for Saturday; we will be monitoring that forecast and will apply brine if appropriate and available.

Garbage pick-up may be delayed getting started Thursday and Friday mornings, but will be collected.

Take precautionary measures to protect pipes from freezing and what to do if your pipes do indeed freeze. If you have a pipe that bursts and need to have your water turned off, call 704-878-3406 after hours.
