The Statesville City Council met last night, approving the acceptance of a $150,000 NCDOT grant for the design of a “pad ready” corporate hangar site at the airport.
That’s according to an e-mail from City Spokeswoman Nancy Davis. Both the City and County will provide a local match of about $8,300.
Total project cost is about $233,000. The remaining funds to pay for that will come from grant money left over during a previous year.
A request to approve an architectural contract for a municipal services building in south Statesville was postponed until February 6th.
