Deputies responded and found a large fire burning out beside of the structure and contacted the fire department to extinguish the flames. At that time Deputies were unsure that the fire was related to the larceny that was reported. Deputies were told that an unknown male opened the cash register and stole the cash inside while the clerk was pricing merchandise in the cooler. Detectives arrived on scene and were able to gather witness statements and pulled video surveillance and found the clerk was lying about the suspect and moved from the counter to allow the suspect wearing a women’s dress and a wig to get to the cash register and steal miscellaneous US currency.

After interviews with the suspects it was found Rex Carlo Farmer had his girlfriend Kayla Nicole Price with him and she was aware that Rex Carlo Farmer and his father Rex Allen Farmer planned to steal money from the register. Statements revealed Rex Allen Farmer showed his son how he could open the register before Rex Carlo Farmer went out to put on a black dress and a large dark wig to hide his true identity.

Once Rex Carlo Farmer stole the cash from the register he ran outside and set his wig and dress on fire next to the business to destroy any evidence and that fire led to a meter base on the building and a privacy fence to be burned with the clothing.
