Sheriff’s Office looking for vehicle in homicide investigation

Sheriff Darren Campbell said: On Tuesday January 10th 2017 Hugh Lee Moose was murdered in his home located at 577 Shiloh Road, Statesville NC. As previously reported several witnesses saw a w/m wearing a Carhartt style bibs, a toboggan and a backpack in the area prior to the initial report. During the ongoing investigation a witness was recently located who on the day of the Homicide observed a full size SUV believed to be a Lincoln Navigator/ Ford Expedition or similar style vehicle. The Vehicle was parked off the side of the road at the Third Creek Bridge on Shiloh Road around 4:30pm or 4:45pm. The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate the vehicle and/or person in the vehicle. It’s unknown at this time if it’s connected to the investigation. If anyone was on Shiloh Road on January 10th and has information about the vehicle you are asked to call the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Homicide line at (704) 928-9804.
