Position Summary:

Iredell Broadcasting is searching for a highly motivated, professional Account Executive with a track record of success to develop and sell advertising and marketing campaigns to new and existing customers for our local radio, internet, and television platforms.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Consistent, persistent sales prospecting to identify new revenue opportunities and progress them through the entire sales cycle
  • Identify leads, convert them to qualified prospects and ultimately new customers
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations to meet customer needs and follow-up with key decision makers to close
  • Focus on acquiring additional revenue streams from existing customers in order to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Effectively utilize in-person visits, cold calls, phone conversations, emails and outbound marketing campaigns for direct prospect and customer communication
  • Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with customers by providing top-quality service
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and values for productivity and customer engagement
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of services, products and pricing structure and help formulate new strategies for growing customer reach
  • Meet or exceed company sales goals
  • Complete prospecting, attend business events and networking activities to establish first-class influence in the local business community
  • Regularly meet with Sales Manager to review sales activities, progress on goals and status of prospective customers
  • Maintain adequate activity levels to ensure consistent quota achievement
  • Utilize and maintain company provided CRM with complete and up-to-date information on all stages of assigned prospects and customers
  • Pre-plan travel to maximize customer-facing time and minimize travel between visits
  • Work closely with internal traffic and production professionals to ensure smooth and complete customer onboarding, create and maintain proper customer broadcast schedules, resources and assets
  • Consistently seek guidance and continuous improvement on executing every aspect of this position
  • Occasional weekend work required and expected

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced outside sales professional with 3-4 years of media or entertainment sales experience with a proven and leading track record of success
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to recognize and deliver solutions for spoken needs as well as hidden or unspoken needs of customer prospects
  • Experienced in developing and executing sales strategies
  • Display positive persistence, optimism and empathy in all interactions
  • Must be organized with good time management skills
  • Proven analytical/problem solving and solution generation for the customer and the company
  • Self-motivated, hardworking and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
  • High integrity and relationship builder with a positive, winning attitude
  • Computer proficiency with smart phones, Microsoft Windows, Office, CRM and social media platforms and applications
  • Must be highly accurate and attentive to detail
  • Enjoys working in a structured professional environment including interactions with celebrities, community leaders and government agencies
  • Must be a “people person” and not afraid to be in front of a camera
  • Reliable transportation required
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in business, marketing, sales or related field, bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States of America
