A 70 year-old man was taken to the hospital following an emergency on Lake Norman Sunday evening.
Major Todd Carver with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office says the man had been swimming with a group off a boat near the end of Brawley School Road. The man was unable to make it back to the boat, and was pulled aboard by other members of the group.
The currently unidentified individual was taken to shore at Points End Drive which is the southernmost end of Brawley School Road. CPR was started prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. The man was taken to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center for treatment.
