Lincolnton, NC – One person has been arrested and another is wanted in connection with a home break-in in the 6500 block of Wingate Hill Road, Denver, NC.
Deputies responded to the residence on April 10, 2017 when the homeowner returned home to find her front door closed but unlocked. Deputies cleared the residence and the homeowner pointed out items that had been stolen in the break-in. The missing items included a flat screen TV, rifle, and cash valued at more than $1,500.
On April 17, 2017 the homeowner provided Detective Greg Hager with a serial number for the flat screen TV and with that serial number it was discovered that the TV had been pawned at a pawn shop in Conover. Security video also led detectives to one of the suspects in the case.
Garry Dale Dolin, II, 27, of Shaw Estates Lane, Lincolnton was arrested on April 18, 2017. He is charged with one felony count each of Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Possession of Stolen Goods, Larceny of a Firearm and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. He was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
Also charged in the break-in is Dustin Dwight Suggs, 29, of Claremont, NC. He is charged with one felony count each of Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, Possession of Stolen Goods, Larceny of a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Warrants on Suggs have not been served. Suggs is known to frequent the Claremont and Denver area. He operates a dark colored 2010 Volvo XC90 with a North Carolina license plate of EHM-2871.
