Iredell-Statesville Schools will use more than $1.3 million from the savings account next school year.
That’s subject to change, but the tentative plan came following a budget meeting yesterday afternoon according to board member Cindy Haynes. Right now, the plan is to remove funding for school gate guards while keeping money for fifteen instructional facilitator positions.
Superintendent Brady Johnson told the group he anticipates a fifteen percent cut in federal funding, although that’s unknown at this time. All is subject to change as we await the exact numbers of the state and federal budgets.
