The first happened late Wednesday. 19-year-old Daniel Preiss is accused of not stopping on I-77 after a Trooper attempted a traffic stop for reckless driving. First Sergeant Owenby says the vehicle jumped the median at the top of the Brawley School Road exit, eventually reaching about 90 miles per hour on Williamson Road before it crashed.

According to the Highway Patrol, a vehicle occupied by a man and his 9-year-old son was also involved. All were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The second chase happened shortly before 6:00 yesterday evening. Tanya Zaloumis is accused of driving recklessly on I-40 just east of I-77. Owenby says that chase was brought to an end with the pit maneuver.

Zaloumis is accused of driving without a license, Preiss is accused of driving with a revoked license.
