Lincolnton, NC – Two people, a man and his son, have been arrested in connection with a northern Lincoln County home invasion.
Jared Miller, who lives in the 4400 block of Herter Road, Lincolnton, NC, told deputies two Hispanic males broke into his home around 12:30 a.m. on April 18, 2017 while he was asleep and assaulted him.
The victim told officers the suspects were his neighbors on Herter Road and one was armed with a stick and the other person armed with a knife. The victim was assaulted with the stick and threatened with the knife before the suspects left the residence. Miller told officers the men picked up approximately $100 in U S currency from the kitchen table as they left. EMS was dispatched to the scene but the victim refused transport to the hospital.
Detective Michael Lookadoo transported Esteban Aguirre Martinez, 43, of 4479 Herter Road, Lincolnton, NC to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office where he was interviewed and charged in connection with the home invasion.
Martinez is charged with one felony count each of First Degree Burglary and Larceny after a Breaking and Entering. He was also charged with misdemeanor Aggravated Assault. He was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $35,000 secured bond.
Also arrested was Joshua Steven Granados, 18, of 4479 Herter Road, Lincolnton, NC He was charged with one felony count each of First Degree Burglary and Larceny after Breaking and Entering. He was also charged with one count of misdemeanor Aggravated Assault. He was jailed under a $30,000 secured bond.
Both men will have a first appearance in Lincoln County District Court on April 19, 2017.
