Camping World is known for oversized flags such as the one at Randy Marion on Gaither Road which is grandfathered under the current rules.

Representing Camping World, a flag vendor appeared before the Statesville Board of Adjustment in August 2015 asking for an exception to place a 130 feet pole with a 40 by 80 feet flag. That was denied unanimously.

Tweets from Lemons mentioning Statesville received more than 500 re-tweets.  The City of Statesville says it has no comment on the case.
