Statesville man accused of spitting on officer

Two arrested by the Statesville Police Department are facing additional charges after officers say they resisted in some way. David Rinehardt is accused of spitting on an officer, grabbing officers and communicating threats. One suffered minor cut. Swailon Tucker is accused of communicating threats and pushing officers.

Man accused of committing Statesville burglaries arrested following hospital release

He went from the hospital to the jail – Marcus Brown is accused by the Statesville Police Department of committing two burglaries and was arrested yesterday after his release from CMC. One burglary happened on Stockton Street, the other on Buffalo Shoals. Police say Brown was shot by the victim in the second case.
