It’s official – Statesville Mayor candidate and City Council member Michael Johnson has made the formal request for a runoff against Costi Kutteh.
The sitting Mayor had 38 percent of the vote with just over 1,100 ballots cast. Michael Johnson was 113 votes behind.
Rosetta Williams placed third in that contest, receiving 380 votes, just ahead of Kyle Houston at 367. Early voting will start next Thursday with the election being held November 4th – the same day as the general election in Mooresville.
