Third teen charged in Statesville shooting

PRESS RELEASE

A third suspect connected to the March 24 Fiesta Rodeo shooting was taken into custody by members of the Violent Crimes Collaborative on Thursday, April 5 2018.

Keeven Taevon Trent, 16 B/M of Ascending St Statesville, was transported to the Iredell County Jail and charged with two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property, Felony Inciting to Riot and Discharging a Firearm in City Limits. The Magistrate issued Trent a $750,000 secured bond.
