Lincolnton, NC – A Lincoln County teen has been charged with indecent liberties with a child in connection with an incident that occurred between September 1, 2017 and October 9, 2017.
Detective Dan Renn charged Erik Ivan Rodriguez, 18, of English Oak Drive, Lincolnton, NC on October 18, 2017. The report was filed with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on October 9, 2017 by the parents of a 13-year-old female.
The victim and suspect met and began talking on the social media app “Snapchat” and eventually met in person at the victim’s residence.
Rodriguez was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate on October 18, 2017 on the felony charge and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond. He had a first appearance in Lincoln County District Court on October 19, 2017.
