PRESS RELEASE

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated on Saturday October 21st at around 2:00pm, an unidentified male subject driving a newer model, silver Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab pickup truck entered the parking area of James River Equipment located at 635 Mocksville Highway. The Dodge Ram pickup displayed a fictitious “James River Equipment” magnetic logo on the driver and front passenger doors. The suspect vehicle had no registration plate displayed and was pulling an unknown brand black utility trailer with wooden plank floor which was also not displaying a registration plate. The unidentified suspect was wearing a “boonie” hat, sunglasses, bandana concealing his face, a grey long sleeve shirt with neon green shirt underneath, dark denim blue jeans, and dark brown or black boots. The suspect is captured on surveillance video lowering the gate to the utility trailer, walking away and returning just moments later riding a John Deere Z 915 E lawnmower. The suspect appears to have knowledge of how to operate the equipment as he quickly loads it onto the trailer, and then shuts the trailer gate. The mower had been secured by a security linked cable which was cut by the suspect. The Sheriff’s Office is seeking any information that could lead to the recovery of the stolen equipment as well as an arrest in this case. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to please contact Detective C.L. Jarvis with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office at (704) 878-3180 or Iredell Crimestoppers at (704) 662-1340. All assistance would be appreciated!
