Sheriff’s Office: Man charged with assault, other arrests possible

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: deputies arrived at 174 Yellowstone Lane in reference to an assault. Deputies located Brandon Scott (Victim) bleeding from a laceration to the head. Brandon Scott was transported Davis Regional Hospital for his injuries, Scott’s injuries are not life threating. While investigating deputies located Randy Cook (Suspect) behind the house along with other family members. Deputies took statements from possible suspects and witness to determine what had happen at the residence.

During the course of the investigation deputies found that Randy Cook had assaulted the victim Brandon Scott. There are possible two other suspects that have not been identified at this time. Randy Cook was taken into custody at that point and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Injury.

Cook was transported to the Iredell County Jail and received a 7,500 secured bond. There is still an open investigation at this time, Iredell County Criminal Investigation is following up with this case.
