Police: Man wanted in shooting found hiding under sink

PRESS RELEASE

On Monday, October 08, 2018, at approximately 1500 hrs., Statesville Police received an anonymous tip stating SHAEEM TREMAINE MILLER was recently seen at a residence in the 500 Block of Hickory Ave., Statesville NC.  Officers arrived on scene and searched the inside of the residence.

MILLER was located hiding in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. MILLER was taken into custody without incident and served with 4 warrants for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and 1 count of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.

These charges are connected to an incident where a vehicle was shot into while traveling on Gaither Road near Radio Road on January 08, 2018. The vehicle was occupied by 3 adults and a small child.  He also had an order for arrest for discharging a firearm in the city limits that occurred on October 21, 2017 and an outstanding warrant for assault on a female from June 04, 2018.

MILLER was transported to the Iredell County Jail and was issued a $303,500 secured bond.
