Sherriff Darren Campbell stated: On Tuesday February 13, 2018, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputies took a report for a stolen John Deere Tractor worth $14,500.00 dollars from an address on Triplett Road in Eastern, Iredell County.
Later on the same day, a phone call was received by one of the reporting deputies, stating several citizens observed the tractor on Woodleaf-Barber Road in Rowan County. By the time deputies from Rowan County and Iredell County Sheriff’s Offices arrived at the scene, the suspects had already jumped and run from the tractor and left it parked in a wooded area. The tractor was recovered and evidence was collected from the scene.
Iredell County Sheriff’s Office detectives were able to follow up on several leads and gather evidence which enabled them to obtain felony arrest warrants on two suspects who were identified as Thomas Jay Corbin and Keri Alise Harwell.
Corbin was arrested by Rowan County deputies at 215 Yadkin River Road in Salisbury. He was then turned over to detectives of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office for an interview. Corbin was taken before Magistrate R. Imes where the warrant was served and he was given a $5,000 secured bond and placed in the Iredell County Detention Center.
Keri Alise Harwell is still wanted on her warrant for Larceny of Motor Vehicle. Anyone with information on Harwell’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office at 704-878-3180 or Iredell Crimestoppers at 704-662-1340.
