Mooresville teen charged with armed robbery

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – On June 9 at 11:14 p.m., Mooresville Police responded to Cookout, 355 W. Plaza Drive, in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, a male victim told officers an individual approached him asking to use the phone charger in his car because his phone battery was almost dead. Suspect subsequently robbed victim of cash. Officers located the suspect and confiscated items relating to the armed robbery.

Jawon Hakeem Josephthal, 19, of Mooresville has been charged with Armed Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Fraudulent Identification, and Underage Consumption of Alcohol. He was placed in the Iredell County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
