Mooresville PD arrests four in gas station armed robbery investigation

MOORESVILLE, NC: Just after 1 a.m. on October 22, 2017, the Mooresville Police Department was notified of an armed robbery that occurred in the Franklin Grove Subdivision. Officers responded and located a group of teenagers who told police two black males robbed them of their cell phones at gunpoint while they were walking in the neighborhood. The suspects left the area in a brown or gold passenger vehicle. Officers attempted to locate the suspects in the neighborhood but were unsuccessful. While searching for the suspects, officers received numerous reports and located several cars that had been broken into in the neighborhood. No one was injured during the robbery.

Just before 3 a.m. that same morning, officers received a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K, 598 N. Main St. Responding officers were told two black males robbed the store at gunpoint and fled on foot. Officers located a gold Honda sedan heading north on Statesville Highway matching the description of the earlier robbery. Officers stopped the vehicle and located the stolen money from the Circle K robbery. Along with the money, a stolen handgun was also located in the car.

Four suspects have been arrested for the Circle K robbery. Titeon Breshaun Burton, 19, of Statesville was charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Second-Degree Kidnapping, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Quanisha Shaterra Gaines, 19, Mojanika Aljanea Daye, 18, and Teykian Ilyric Dye, 18, all of Statesville, were charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. All four suspects are being held in the Iredell County Jail on $100,000 secured bond.
