Mooresville man faces 72 child sex crime charges

PRESS RELEASE

MOORESVILLE, NC: On January 16, Larry Earl Davis, 38, of Mooresville was charged and arrested on 19 counts of Statutory Sexual Offense with a Child, 4 counts of Statutory Rape of a Child, and 49 counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child. All offenses occurred between June, 2014 and January, 2018.

Mooresville police initiated an investigation on January 8, after receiving a sexual abuse report from the Iredell County Department of Social Services. All charges are related to the same victim. Davis was taken into custody by the Salisbury Police Department without incident. He was transferred to custody of the Mooresville Police Department where he was processed for the charges. Davis was taken to the Iredell County Jail where he received a $1.5 million secured bond.
