Michigan man accused of having sex with Iredell 12-year-old he met online

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Monday May 21, 2018 a report was filed with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office in reference to First Degree Statutory Rape of a 12 year old female victim.

Detective Sergeant Katie Harwell with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit was assigned the case. During the course of the investigation the victim was interviewed, and disclosed having met and communicated with Noah Michael Davis through social media.

Davis made arrangements to travel from Michigan to North Carolina to meet with the victim. Upon the suspect’s arrival in Statesville, he checked into a hotel near the victim’s home. Davis arranged to meet the victim and had sexual intercourse with the victim before leaving North Carolina.

Based on interviews, statements and evidence gathered in the investigation Det. Sgt. Harwell was able to obtain a Felony Arrest Warrant on Noah Michael Davis for Felony First Degree Statutory Rape, he was entered as a Wanted Person.

Davis was located and arrested in Muskegon County Michigan by the Michigan State Police. Noah Michael Davis was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center on Saturday September 8, 2018 where he was served with warrant for Felony First Degree Statutory Rape. Davis was issued a 75,000.00 dollar secured bond by Magistrate M. Nethken.
