Sheriff Darren Campbell stated On Saturday February 10, 2018 the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed robbery at 3541 Taylorsville Highway west of Statesville.
Detective Patrick Irwin with the Criminal Investigations Division was assigned the case.
According to the incident report the suspect walked into the business around 10 p.m. carrying a long barreled weapon and demanded the money. The suspect then fled the store on foot to a waiting car that was parked nearby. The vehicle is described as dark in color two door sedan.
Statesville Police Department reported a robbery that occurred on Thursday February 8, 2018 shortly after 1 a.m. approximately one mile away. According to Statesville Police Department, one subject entered the business and displayed a firearm, demanded money, took the money and fled on foot to a nearby vehicle. A second suspect stayed outside the business as a possible lookout.
