Drug charges filed in Mooresville crash where vehicle struck residence

MOORESVILLE, NC: On Friday, August 4 at 1:22 p.m., Mooresville Police responded to a two vehicle crash at 376 Rocky River Road where one of the vehicles struck a residence and caused damage. While officers were investigating the vehicle crash, they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the residence. Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence after completing the investigation of the vehicle crash.

During a search of the residence, officers seized more than four pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia used in the manufacture and sale of narcotics, an AR-15 style 22 caliber rifle, and $1,672 in cash.

Heather Leigh Richardson, 30, and Skyler Devon McCombs, 33, both of Mooresville, were charged with Manufacture of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for Use, Storage or Sale of Controlled Substances, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Child Abuse. Both have been released from the Iredell County Jail on $5,000 secured bond.
