PRESS RELEASE

Sheriff Darren Campbell said: On Friday June 29, 2018 Mark Arnold Pinkerton charged with Felony Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Felony Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, and Felony First Degree Burglary. Pinkerton was taken before Magistrate Chambers and give a 100,000 secured bond on these new charges.

These new charges stem from the original incident where Pinkerton is charged with Murder in connection to the death of Hugh Lee Moose. Hugh Moose was shot and killed in his home on Tuesday January 10, 2017.

Mark Pinkerton was arrested and charged with Murder on Wednesday April 25, 2018 after a lengthy investigation lead to identifying him as the man who shot and killed Hugh Lee Moose.

The evidence indicates, Pinkerton went to the home of Hugh Moose to rob him for drug money. Pinkerton forced his way into the home and after shooting Moose, then took cash from his wallet and fled the scene, soon after fleeing the North Carolina.

Pinkerton has a lengthy criminal history that includes at least one felony conviction from Pennsylvania.
