That’s according to Iredell Board of Elections Director Becky Galliher who says five Mooresville residents had voted early. Absentee by mail ballots have also been requested.
The current early voting period runs through Saturday, October 7th. Those voting on election day must do so within their precinct at the designated polling place which can be determined via the Iredell Board of Elections website.
Statesville’s City Council and Mayor elections have gathered the most interest. Voters will choose two at large members from a field of ten. Twelve will appear on the ballot, although two have announced they are no longer seeking office.
