Cornelius meeting focuses on I-77

Drivers concerned about I-77 and the toll contract met in Cornelius last night.  WSIC News Partner Fox 46 says there wasn’t an empty seat in the room.  Leaders questioned a contract review which said expansion of the road would cost $500 million.  There has been discussions of total contract repeal or alterations.

No decision in controversial zoning release

A controversial zoning release for property off Williamson Road near Lake Norman did not receive a vote at last night’s Iredell County Commissioner’s meeting. Board Clerk Retha Gaither says the consensus was to give residents more time to see the new proposed site plan from the developer.
