Police investigating Statesville homicide

The Statesville Police Department is investigating a Wilmington Avenue homicide. According to a communication from Chief Joe Barone Sunday morning, the victim’s name is Leon Bradshaw. First reported as house fire, small blaze sparks concern

Multiple departments were called to a small Zurich Lane fire north of Statesville late yesterday morning – that’s off Rimmer Road. A spokesperson for Ebenezer Fire Department says a dehumidifier burned in the basement. There was ultimately no structural damage – just smoke.
