City of Statesville: Equipment to blame for Thursday morning outage

About 1000 Statesville electric customers were left in the dark Thursday morning due to faulty equipment. According to the City, the issue was quickly repaired and power restored.  The outage affected those in the Signal Hill Drive, Simonton Road, Davie Avenue and Highway 21 areas.
